{Jennifer and me}
She had ovarian cancer. She fought it for a long time. She seemed to be getting better. She rallied. She was fighting.
She went to the hospital that night and they released her. She was ok. A few hours later... it was over.
I had not seen her in person in several years. But she was a writer and poet, and prolific. She was in almost all my online communities. I "talked to her" all the time.
Now there is silence.
Last fall I did a digital archiving project for my grad degree. I scanned all these old pictures, pieces of memorabilia, documents, and more. At the time, I shared a lot of it on Facebook.

{one of many mix tapes she made}
I was so happy she and I and all our friends got to see these pictures, laugh, and tell the old jokes and stories about them. The recent joke was, "Look how skinny I was!" Skinny Little Teresa, Skinny Little Jennifer, Skinny Little Diana, Skinny Little Chris.... I posted lots of pictures.
Oh my dear friend, I miss you so much. It's beautiful day, I love my job, and I was going to see yu this fall at the reunion. Now I never will.

May you walk the path and find your peace. I love you.
