a summer survey

There is so much to say, so much to do, and I never seem to have the time to create the blog posts I really want to create. I have some in mind for later. (I just set up my phone to post on the fly, so we'll see if that works.) I seem to spend a lot of my time on Pinterest, just because I can pin things or view them very briefly, as opposed to writing, which takes me a while.

In lieu of actual content, I bring you -- a survey!

♥ What time did you get up today? 7.30 am.

♥ Diamonds or pearls? Love diamonds. I actually owned a real diamond necklace for all of 2 hours last fall, until someone stole it. Rot in hell, bastard.

♥ Latest movie in a movie theater? Captain America! My Boyfriend (TM) is in it!

♥ Favourite TV series? I am not into TV much any more. But my classic faves are Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Sex and the City, The Vicar of Dibley, and The Big Bang Theory.

♥ What did you have for breakfast? Mini crullers, French vanilla cappuccino.

♥ What's your middle name? Ann

♥ Favourite food? Pizza

♥ Which food don't you like? Mexican. Hate it all.

♥ What's your favourite CD at the moment? At this moment it is Katy Perry's latest album. "Let me see your Peacock!" -- OMG did she really sing a song about that?!!?

♥ What car do you drive? An old Ford.

♥ Favourite sandwich? Pulled pork, with coleslaw on top of it!

♥ Which human traits can't you stand? Thoughtlessness, arrogance, and especially entitlement.

♥ What are your favourite clothes? I like capris and Sketchers this summer.

♥ If you could travel anywhere, where would you go? Australia

♥ Favourite clothing brand? Hm, I don't have one for me. I shop at the thrift store, garage sales, specialty boutiques, Walmart... Today I am wearing a dress I bought in a specialty boutique in Galena, IL, a pair of leggings from WalMart, and a pair of shoes from the Sketchers store at Woodfield Mall.

♥ Where would you like to retire? Can't even think about it right now.

♥ Favourite time of day? Early afternoon.

♥ Where were you born? In Chicago.

♥ Which is your favourite sport to watch? Pairs ice skating.

♥ Coke or Pepsi? Classic Coke.

♥ Soccer or hockey? Neither, both bore me.

♥ Are you a morning person or a night owl? Night owl.

♥ Pedicure or manicure? Mani.

♥ Any exciting news to share? I just went to a 2-day intensive workshop with Janet Ferrar this weekend. I first read her books in the 1980s and I never thought I would meet her! I learned so much.

♥ What did you want to become as a child? A dancer.

♥ Best childhood memory? Going to our family home in Pell Lake, sitting in the garden with my grandparents listening to Paul McCartney and Wings on the radio, the sound of the lawn mower (it was a big place), and the smell of the lake water.

♥ Ever been to Africa? No.

♥ Ever rolled anybody in toilet paper? Yes! And I have pictures. It was a game at a party.

♥ Have you ever been in a car accident? Yes, many times.

♥ Favourite day of the week? I like Wednesday right now.

♥ Favourite flower? Daffodils.

♥ Favourite - Hot dog or Chinese food? CHINESE FOOD. Because a hot dog is just a hot dog but Chinese food could be LOTS of things!

♥ Do you own a bike? No.

♥ Who was you latest e-mail from? A mailing list on digital libraries.

♥ Where would you like to shop more if you could afford to? Nordstrom.

♥ Bed time? 11pm.

♥ Latest person to share dinner with? I had dinner with a group of people at my weekend workshop.

♥ What are you up to now? Taking a brief break from work.

♥ Favourite color? Blue.

♥ How many tattoos? One.
